ONE TIME FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR AYSCBC MEMBER SCHOOL COUNCILS

The Executive of the Association of Yukon School Councils, Boards & Committees is excited to announce that it will be providing AYSCBC Member School Councils with an opportunity to receive a contribution of up to $5000 each to enhance school-community connections in support of student learning.
This one time funding opportunity allows for flexibility in how Member School Councils plan for and support events/programs/resources that meet the specific needs of their students and local school community.

Guidelines
Each Member School Council, in conjunction with the school principal and superintendent, will determine what project(s)/initiative(s) are included in the proposal, ensuring they align with existing school priorities, growth plans or on-going programs.
The proposal can include more than one project.
Dept of Education policies and guidelines must be followed. (More information on this is available from your principal and superintendent.)
A motion needs to be passed by the School Council in support of the proposal and a copy of it must accompany the application form which is available here.

Proposals may be submitted electronically to the address on the application form.
Once School Councils are notified that their application has been successful, funds will be disbursed. Accounting for the expenditure of these funds will be reported separately and included in the School Councils’ annual year-end financial statements.

Time period
Approved projects must be completed by August 31, 2018 to coincide with the conclusion of the term of office of currently sitting School Council officials.
